A Baptism last Saturday!

Hey Mom & Dad!

Sounds like things are going great on the homefront!  I am grateful for such awesome parents that have been amazing examples to me even now as a missionary.

I am sure that you gave a killer talk on Sunday, Mom.  I am glad everyone was able to get a kick out of the most traumatic experience of my mission!  Just kidding haha  I think that it is pretty hilarious.  (I told the story of when Blake was chased by a dog)

The baptism was great!   Ashton, the kid we baptized is the coolest kid in the world.  He is always making Dragon Ball Z jokes and I make them right back haha.  Seriously so funny!  I am so glad that Heavenly Father lets me meet these awesome people and teach them.  I got to give the talk on baptism at the baptism and that is always a great experience for me because it makes me think of my own baptism and how amazing I felt when I got baptized.  It is a great testimony builder for me to think about that ordinance and how even at a young age I felt the spirit.  The church is most definitely true.

We have a lot of new people and a lot of appointments this week, we should definitely keep ourselves busy.

This week we do get our transfer calls.  I wouldn't be surprised if Walker and I stay together again haha but we have been together a long time so we will see.

Love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Hi Mom! Hi Dad!

Thank you so much for everything that you have done to make my birthday great!  I am so grateful to have such awesome parents!  I did get all the packages the end of last week, and my cake last night!  I loved all the gifts that you got me!  They are all super sick.  I took a funny picture of me with some of my new duds on over my proselyting clothes.  Thanks for the raspberry jam too!!

This week was pretty different.  Ups and downs like always but the week definitely ended great because yesterday we had a way boss lesson with a girl named Nicole and she accept a baptismal date!  We had a somewhat recent convert come with us to the lesson and he bore such a powerful testimony about the church!  It is so cool to hear him talk about what the gospel has done for him.

Unfortunately Andrea didn't come to church though so she fell off date.  Definitely pray for her because life is crazy right now.  It will work out though.  Also this weekend Sanlee's son Ashton is getting baptized!  He is pretty stoked about it, he is 10 years old.  So be anticipating some pictures next week.

Elder Walker and I had to speak on Sunday in Sacrament meeting.  I spoke on why it is important to share the gospel and quoted a lot from chapter 1 of Preach My Gospel.  If you want to get pumped about sharing the gospel I would recommend reading that.

Love you so much!  Thank you for everything that you do for me!
Love Elder Green

A visit from Elder L Tom Perry!!

Hey Mom! Hey Dad!

We had a great week this last week.  We had Zone Conference in Olympia last Tuesday, and Elder Walker and I got to give a training about different ways to find.  It was a lot of fun!  The theme of our training was "Open your mouth".  We got to show this super legit video of some missionaries in New York that did a huge chalk drawing of the Plan of Salvation and then talked with people about it.

Elder L Tom Perry was awesome!  He was so funny and bold.  There was one part where he had a Miamaid president stand up and he asked, "do you know what a hashtag is?"  It was so funny to watch a 92 year old man instruct a teenage girl on how to use hashtags.  The church is so true.  I got to shake his hand which was an awesome experience.  He told me to get to work haha.

Elder L Tom Perry came to speak at the Chehalis Stake Conference

Unfortunately we didn't have as many people come to Stake Conference as we wanted to have there, but we had a couple of people come.  Chris fell off date for baptism because he didn't come to church, but hopefully he will still get baptized soon.

Chehalis is doing well.  We are working hard and are having some success.  We didn't find any new super sweet investigators this week but we found a young family that said we could come back.  I have always wanted a family so I hope they are it!

  Have an awesome week!

This week was Awesome!!

Hi Mom! Hi Dad!

This week was so Awesome!  Sanlee did get baptized!  And it was great!  Brother Howard, who was the one that referred her too us and fellowshipped her, got to do the baptism and confirmation.  He has only been a member for a year and a half and just recently got ordained an Elder.  It was really awesome to see him get to do those ordinances.  There was a pretty decent turn out from the ward which made Sanlee feel very good and supported.

We also have been very blessed lately with people to teach and this week we put two new people on date for baptism!  On Monday night we had a lesson with a really chill guy named Chris.  He is really looking for something in his life right now so that he can guide his family to God.  He was investigating the church about 5 years ago and really liked it, but then he got deployed because he was national guard and it derailed his conversion.  But now he is ready again!  We had a really awesome lesson with him and taught the restoration.  He really liked it and was excited to work towards a goal of baptism on August 23rd!

Sunday night we had an amazing lesson with a young mom named Andrea.  A return missionary in our ward came with us to the appointment which helped a lot.  She has definitely been prepared by the Lord.  As we taught the message of the restoration the spirit filled the room.  We invited her to be baptized and she shared a very great experience.  She explained that she had never been baptized and she almost got baptized in a Christian church two weeks ago.  For some reason she felt like she shouldn't.  When we invited her to be baptized she expressed that she thinks it is because God wants her to be baptized in our church, we of course testified that that was true.  I am always amazed at the incredible things that the Lord does to prepare people.  He really loves his children so much.  She was excited to set a goal of baptism for the 30th of August!  I feel confident that she will meet her goal!

We also had MLC (Mission Leadership Council)  this week on August 1st.   MLC is always fun of course.  Sister Blatter made some pretty amazing chocolate chip cookies.

This week is going to be so sick!  Elder L. Tom Perry is coming to itty bitty Chehalis!  SO STOKED!!!   I will let you know how it goes.  We are inviting the whole town to come hear from an apostle of the Lord.

Life is Good!!
Love you!
