One Year Anniversary This Week!!

One Year Out & A Few People on Date

Hi Mommy! Hi Pops!

I hit my year mark on April 3rd -so in two days.  I can't believe it!  My mission is half over already :( I am still loving it though!)

Interviews with President Weaver last week for the Tacoma East Zone

Just yesterday we had a lesson with a girl. We met her at the church and showed her around. Once we got to the chapel the spirit was getting pretty strong.  Then we talked about Christ and it was even stronger, then we showed her the picture of when God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith as he was a boy and when we told her about it, it became one of the most powerful experiences of my mission.  I am definitely converted to the first vision.  Every time we quote it to people I feel the spirit flood into the room.  The spirit was almost overwhelming and it was so incredible!  She accepted to be baptized on April 19th!  Pray that it works out!  Her name is Parker.

We also put our investigator Jon'Tavia on date to be baptized on the 19th so pray that that happens. She needs all the prayers she can get because I don't know for sure that her family is on board.  They know that we are teaching her, I think they just aren't sure about us.  She doesn't turn 18 for four more months so we would need her parents permission as well so pray that it works.

I am so happy to be a missionary!  I am so happy to be a Mormon!  I just can't believe that I get to have this awesome opportunity to talk to people about the gospel.  I have learned over this past year how true the message is that I am blessed to share. This last year has been hard at times for sure, but I wouldn't trade it for a thing!  I can't wait to see what this next year brings!

Thanks for your prayers mom & dad. We are definitely seeing miracles.

Elder Bellows and I stopped off at the house of a potential investigator that Kleine, Peck and I found named Jeremy.  I wasn't sure if he was interested at all or just being nice when he told us to come back, but I figure whats the harm in trying. We went and talked to him and he told us how him and his wife are looking to get back into church and that he has a Mormon friend that has been sharing with him and even gave him a Book of Mormon.  He said that he is very interested in talking to us.  I am so excited to teach them!  That is definitely the power of member missionary work.  I want to give you an assignment for you and dad. Read L. Tom Perry's talk from October 2011 "Perfect love casteth out all fear."

Thank you so much for the sacrifices you and Dad have made so that I can have this experience. I couldn't ask for better parents. Also thank you for the cup cakes!  They were delicious!!!

I love you so much!
