Thanksgiving was awesome! We participated in the Lincoln Ward annual Turkey Bowl. It was the Young Men VS the Old Men. The Young men won!! It was a lot of fun.

We ate at members houses all day. At 11 we had a lunch with a big black guy who is blind, has no legs and shares the Gospel with everybody! His name is Cliff and he is the coolest person ever! He lives in a care facility because of his medical problems, so we went there for lunch. After that we ate with the Stevens who are the most active members of the ward. They will probably be translated one day. We went to the Caves after that, who are a family that was just baptized into the ward. They are the newest members and they are the best converts ever! Tray, the dad, is a tall black guy who is Swag-tacular!! He just got called as a ward missionary and I couldn't be happier about it! We finished the night by going to the mission home since we are in Tacoma. We played Catch Phrase with 60 missionaries which was awesome. The teams were "Floor people" and "Chair people." I love being around other missionaries! It's always fun to see your past companions too!

We also bought a christmas tree. My first real tree!

Thank you for your thought, Mom! I will keep that in mind, and yes I am very humbled and excited to represent Jesus Christ in this Holiday season.
As far as our investigators go we haven't had a lot of luck. The twins mom wants them to wait until the church is more a part of her life before she lets it be a part of theirs. It makes sense but they also haven't come to church yet, so we aren't making much progress. Cassie came to church and is doing awesome as always but has kind of stagnated. She just wont take that step of being baptized. We are going to find hard this week and have a goal to have one person on date by the end of this week. We pray for it a lot so I believe it will happen!
Spiritual thought of the week: 3 Nephi 24 "and it came to pass that when Jesus had thus prayed unto the Father, he came unto his disciples, and behold, they did still continue, without ceasing, to pray unto him; and they did not multiply many words, for it was given unto them what they should pray, and they were filled with desire." What impressed me most was that it was given them what they should pray and they were filled with desire. President Hinckley said that too many of us look at prayer as if we are ordering groceries, we pick up the phone, place our order and hang up. On my mission I have grown a better understanding of prayer, that it is to aline our will with God's. Like in this verse it was given them what to pray for. The spirit told them what God wanted for them. When they prayed for it it became their desire and they were filled with desire. Their will became one with Gods. It's is an odd thought, but when we pray it is good to ask God what he wants us to ask for. I know that if we do this we will be happier because we will want what God wants for us.
Love you,
Elder Green
