A really awesome week!!

Hi Mom! Hi Dad!

This week was a really awesome week for us!  We found a lot of new investigators and had a lot of miracles happen to us this week.  Not the least of which being THREE BAPTISMS!  You are going to kill me, but I forgot my camera at home.  Next week, though, be expecting some pictures.

The family that got baptized is a family that lives super far north in Kent, but they come to our ward because they have family here.  They are super cool.  We baptized the Dad, the Mom, and the 8 year old son.  They have 9 kids but only 1 got baptized so far.  Hopefully soon the other ones will join.  We didn't know exactly that we were having the baptism until earlier last week so it was pretty awesome.  The father is actually in a wheel chair so they had to carry him into the font.  It was really cool to watch.  We did the baptism Sunday after church so a ton of people came.  There were so many people that we had to have the service in the chapel and then move to the font room.  :)

On Saturday we had an appointment with a man named Sam that the Spanish missionaries knocked into.  We taught him and his 10 year old daughter the restoration.  He told us how he recently lost his 5 year old daughter to cancer in the summer and how he has had a hard time with that.  We testified of the blessing of eternal families and invited him to be baptized and he and his daughter accepted.  It was awesome.  He said that when we talked about eternal families that he knew that is what he wants.

We had a lot of cool things happen but that is the highlights for sure.  We have a lot of good things happening and I hope we can get a few more baptisms before the end of this transfer.  We have some people that definitely could, so we are hoping it works out.  Thank you for your prayers!

I think that that is funny Spencer ran into Mackenzie Stevens. (A sister missionary that just returned home from the Tacoma mission 4 weeks ago) Yesterday at the mission office, another missionary told me that she (Mackenzie) sent them a picture that she found of me in her yearbook when I had my long hair. We had a good laugh about it.  ha ha

To answer your question, Dad, yes I have eaten a few different things since serving in the Samoan Ward.  We tried octopus (which is actually pretty good) turkey tail, and also Taro leaves with coconut in them.  It was good!

Love you!
